February 2 was Foster Care/Adoption Awareness Sunday... and as a few of you may know, it was also Super Bowl Sunday. We challenged our congregation to play defense by "defending the fatherless and standing up for the powerless." -- Psalms. 82:3. The CALL, one of our ministry partners, told us a simple way to help would be to bring a frozen meal/casserole that could be given to foster families. We shared their request with our church and voila!
In December a group of our guys had the privilege of bringing CHRISTmas to the men at Nehemiah House, a part of Union Rescue Mission. Everyone enjoyed a special meal, singing, playing Bingo, and unwrapping presents -- and especially, fellowship!
