GLOBAL DISCIPLE MAKING

Peru Mission

In 2002, God was working in the life of PPBC calling us to join Him in global disciple-making by becoming partners with Missionary Larry Johnson at Villa Milagro and Pastor Helmer at Monte Sion Baptist Church in reaching the people of Cajamarca, Peru. This partnership has allowed us the opportunity to share the Good News of Jesus Christ through the Andean Orphan Ministry, Monte Sion Health Center, church planting and well drilling. Villa Milagro was established in September, 1994, as a holistic endeavor dedicated to ministries that will advance the great commission by meeting physical and spiritual needs of as many people as possible. Some examples of the outcomes of this ministry include: Church Starts – 85+ ; Canals Built – 21 Miles; Roads Built – 50 Miles; Rabbit Distribution – 110 Tons; Water Pipeline – 30 Miles; Water Wells – 200+. For more information visit Villa Milagro’s website.

In addition, the Jeberos Project is designed to reach people on the Huallaga River in the Northern Jungle area of Peru. Raul Chota, a staff member of Villa Milagro Ministries, is a native of that area and is charged with the responsibility of proclaiming the “Good News” to the many villages on and along the Huallaga River. Raul was provided the opportunity to graduate from seminary with a grant from Villa Milagro Ministries and was called to minister to “His” people. The Lord has blessed this work with 41 church starts.
