Steve Parker, Pastor, Experienced Adults

Hi, my name is Steve. My wife Beverly and I minister to our experienced adults. We feel that just because you are wrinkled, you are not ruined. We help our seniors stay active by hosting trips, luncheons with a program of interest, and various other activities throughout the year. I also teach the Victory Bible Study class and also a Bible Study on Wednesday nights.

Basic Stuff: I was born in Possum Waller, Arkansas, and graduated from DeWitt High (Go, Dragons!). Beverly and I have 3 children. I pastored churches in California and Arkansas for 20 years and now I'm retired.

Birthdate: July 15

Education: BA, MA and PhD from Missionary Baptist Seminary in Little Rock. I've taught Hebrew, biblical archeology, Pauline Epistles and a bunch of other stuff I can't remember.

Interests and Favorites:

PLACE: Our home -- it's my sanctuary. Next favorite place is any body of water that has fish in it.

MUSIC I LISTEN TO: I am not an audiophile.

BOOKS: I've read and collected all of Louie Lamour's books -- even the ones he's written after he died. I love research books and commentaries. Weust and Robinson are among my favorites. But my most favorite read is the Bible.

WHAT I WATCH ON TV: Football and the History Channel.

SPORTS TEAMS: I like to watch the Arkansas Razorbacks and any pro football team.

MOVIES: Anything with John Wayne. I have a collection of every one of his movies that are available to the public.

HOBBIES: Bass fishing and making my own fishing lures.

DISLIKES: Weak coffee.

ODD FACT: I was accidentally shot in the leg while hunting. The bullet is still lodged in my leg and usually sets off the alarm at airports.
