Hi, my name is Allan and my heart is to accept and love people where they are in life and help them take their next steps with God.

Basic Stuff: I was born and grew up in North Little Rock. I attended college in Conway, AR. I also completed two master's degrees in Fort Worth, TX. I am married to Nancy (1984) who is my soul-mate and partner in life. We have 2 children, Hunter and Megan.

Birthdate: July 2, 1961

Education: Liberal Arts from Hendrix College (1983); Master's of Divinity and Master's of Arts in Religious Education from Southwestern Seminary (1988).

Interests and Favorites:

PLACES: Southern California. Although just a dream for now, the place I want my family to experience with me is Australia (sometime before we leave this life.)

WHAT'S ON MY IPOD: Lots of Christian rock and contemporary praise/worship, jazz and instrumental. I must admit there is some 70's and 80's rock onboard, but "I just listen to the music, not the words."

BOOKS: Anything by John Maxwell, Rick Warren, Lee Strobel, John Ortberg, and King David is pretty good, too.

WHAT DO YOU TIVO? American Idol when available.

MOVIES: Gladiator, Braveheart, The Patriot, and lest you think I'm too secular, The End of the Spear, and The Passion of the Christ.

HOBBIES: Home renovation, duck hunting, photography.

DISLIKES: People clipping their fingernails in public... that's just plain rude.

ODD FACT: I am a fan of the great theologian, Charlie Brown.
