Beverly Bale

Connect Coordinator

What is your job at Parkway Place?

I have two main responsibilities: 1) I have the privilege of helping folks find a place (Community Groups) where they can grow and be encouraged with other Christ Followers.  2) Managing  the day to day needs of our facility, calendar scheduling and set up.

What is your favorite part of your job?

Serving people, helping them connect with others and just being a resource for what anyone needs.

How and when did you first come to Parkway Place?

My husband and I joined Parkway 8 years ago.  We were invited by a member (Terrie Pope).  We had just moved back home from living in another city for 10 years and I needed something to do, so I filled in at PPBC answering the telephones and God provided an opportunity for me to remain!!

Where are you from?

Born in North Little Rock, AR but moved to the “other side” Little Rock when I  married and raised my children with the exception of a 10 year period when our family lived in Clarksville, AR.

Who is in your family?

My husband  and I have two married sons with wonderful wives and two precious grandchildren.  We also have a sweet little Maltese named “Rocky”.

Provide a short testimony of your relationship with Christ.

I was nine when I asked Jesus to come into my heart during a session of VBS.  VBS holds a special place in my heart today and  think it is a great tool in helping children understand salvation and how Jesus can become their forever friend.  When I was a senior in high school I felt I needed to recommit my life to Christ and even though my life has taking many turns through the years God has always remained faithful and I am blessed by His grace and compassion.  He provides me strength for each day and peace and comfort in life’s struggles.

What is your favorite Bible verse?

Psalm 19:14 — “Let the words of my mouth and the meditations of my heart be acceptable in thy sight O Lord, my strength and my redeemer.”

What was the best concert you’ve ever been to?

Not really a concert more of a performance, the Lion King on Broadway, loved, loved the live visual effects.

What is the best place you have ever visited?

One of the most interesting was to New York City.  The diversity in culture and daily lifestyles were fascinating to me.  Of course, the “shopping” was kind of nice too!

If you could live anywhere in the world, where would it be?

Next door to my two grandchildren!

If you have a super power, what would it be and why?

To be able to understand technology (computers, smart phones..etc) as well as my nine year old grandson!

These are a few of my favorite things…

Children, being with family and friends, laughter, popcorn, HGTV, Pinterest, sitting on the beach …
